Originally from San Francisco, she has been living in Barcelona since 1999. She holds a BA in Contemporary Literature, a Master's in Bilingual Translation, and a Postgraduate Degree in Literary Translation from Pompeu Fabra University . Her translations include St. Domingo de la Calzada, Engineer of the Land by Javier Peréz Escohotado, which traces literary references to the historical figure through the works of Cervantes, María de Zayas, and Berceo as well as Language in Exile: The Writing of Imre Kertész by Jaime Aspiunza. A collaborator on Granta's 2010 issue of "The Best of Young Spanish Language Novelists", she also works as a professional reader for Portobello Books and Atlantic Books in the UK in addition to Duomo in Barcelona .
