Robert Nusbaum

Robert is a native speaker of U.S. English and a freelance translator from German, French, Spanish and Italian into British or American English, as required.

He holds a B.A. in Teaching English and French as a Second Language (1974) from the University of California, Berkeley and an M.A. in Translation Studies(1983) from the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, London.
 
He translates a wide range of texts, primarily in the fields of corporate communication, tourism, education, medicine, pharmacology and manufacturing processes, as well as fine art (e.g. museum catalogues), poetry and literature,and the social sciences.

He is also co-owner of the literary agency Between the Lines for which he edits translations of works of fiction and non-fiction by European authors for submission to publishers in Great Britain and the U.S.A.
