Hope Doyle D'Ambrosio is an Assistant Professor of Spanish at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she teaches courses in Spanish language and Spanish-English translation, and coordinates the Professional Studies track of the Spanish major. She received her PhD in Hispanic Linguistics and MA in Hispanic Literature from the University of Texas at Austin. Her BA is in Spanish, English and pedagogy from Douglass College for Women of Rutgers University, New Jersey. She has published scholarly articles in both Spanish and English in the fields of bilingualism and sociolinguistics, and her published translations from Spanish to English include poetry, philosophy and economic history. She lives in Takoma Park, Maryland with her husband, son and epileptic dog.
